Upside Down & 1 Month Behind

Question: I am just 1 month behind on my mortgate, but am way upside down. I am single parent and have struggled past year. what are options?

Answer: Talk to your bank. Don't think hiding will solve the problem. Ask to see if they will give you a loan modification. If they won't, ask them if they would consider a short sale option. A short sale is a much better option over a foreclosure.
